Canon updates the firmware of popular cameras, thanks to which they gain new possibilities in terms of recording movies.
Canon has just announced the latest update for selected EOS and PowerShot cameras , which introduces 24p (23.98 fps) recording mode in Full HD and 4K resolutions.
24p movie mode on Canon cameras
Although it is hard to believe, until now many Canon cameras did not have the characteristic of cinema films 24p frames . With such a number of frames per second, standard movies are recorded for the needs of the cinema, which is why cameras that are to be associated as models for filming must have such a function.The update that will introduce this movie mode will include: Canon EOS RP mirrorless camera, Canon EOS 90D SLR camera and PowerShot G7X Mark III compact . The first two models will receive the new soft at the end of October. In turn, the advanced Canon compact will be updated at the end of December. The new G5 X Mark II and EOS M6 Mark II will also receive a new function and update – the latter will not be until next year. 24p mode will be available for both Full HD and 4K resolution.
