Canon EOS M200 is the next edition of the mirrorless camera dedicated to amateurs. The model combines the quality known from digital SLRs with the convenience of use provided by smartphones.
Testing last year Canon EOS M100 I was positively surprised by it. It's a simple camera, but its power is handiness and banal operation, and at the same time the camera takes nice pictures and works well as a vlogger's equipment. Now we met his successor – Canon EOS M200 camera .
The most important features
- 24.1 megapixel APS-C matrix
- Recording in 4K quality and 120 frames per second in HD quality
- Dual Pixel CMOS AF
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Touch screen tilted at 180˚
- Time-lapse movies
Canon EOS M200 shoots in 4K
Canon has slept through the film revolution a bit and while Panasonic offers 4K mode in models that have appeared on the market for 5 years, for Canon until recently the problem was to offer Full HD at 50 frames. One of the important changes in the new model is the addition of 4K 25p movie mode . We can also record timelaps in 4K. In addition, in Full HD we will record slow-motion movies. Autofocus, which is based on Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, has also been improved. The sharpening system has gained the popular latest and very useful eye tracking function, i.e. Eye AF. It works smoothly even in -4EV lighting. The heart of the camera is the DIGIC 8 processor and the 24.1 Mpix APS-C matrix. The camera screen is tilted by 180 degrees, and with vloggers in mind the manufacturer gives the option to enable recording by touching the screen – this is useful when the camera is pointed at us, with the screen rotated.

Filters and wireless connectivity
The camera is dedicated to amateurs, so there could be various creative filters . Creative Assist offers a number of effects, filters and color adjustment tools that can be used both during and after shooting. You can add a lot of effects to your photos, just like you would in a photo application, using creative filters such as grainy black and white, fisheye or soft focusing. Thanks to the presence of WiFi and Bluetooth, you can wirelessly control the camera and send photos to your phone. The application allows you to automatically transfer photos from the camera to your smartphone while they are being taken. As long as the camera is within Bluetooth range, you can maintain a permanent connection with the smartphone, even if the camera is turned off.
