Nikon Z7 or Sony A7R III? Which full-frame mirrorless camera should you choose? We already know which camera has a better matrix. Did you expect such a result?
Nikon Z7 debuted last year with a slightly cheaper model – the Nikon Z6. This is the first bezłusterkowce with full frame matrices in the manufacturer's offer. Nikon praises his new model for, among others, excellent autofocus, as well as a matrix that guarantees a high resolution of 45.7 Mpix, but also high sensitivity and dynamics. How in this case does the camera fall out of the competition in the form of Sony A7R III?
Nikon Z7 or Sony A7R III – which is better?
Experts from DxOmark known to mania readers, among others from smartphone camera tests, have just tested the matrix of the new Nikon Z7. As it turned out, in this highly testable test the camera obtained as many as 99 points out of 100 possible . This makes it a very successful model when it comes to image quality: a matrix with such a result will guarantee great results.Experts have pointed out that the camera offers almost identical sensitivity as the Nikon D850 reflex camera. However, they added that none of these models cope as well with sensitivity as the Sony A7R III . The differences, however, are so minimal that they are virtually unnoticeable to users. The fact is, however, that thanks to the wider tonal dynamics and sensitivity, better results can be obtained when we lighten the picture in post-production. These studies show that in terms of matrices in Sony cameras is still a leader and it will be difficult to beat him in this segment, although of course the competition will work on it. For now, new full-frame Nikons are interesting cameras, but rather will not threaten Sony's position, which as you can see from purely technical and sales results – is very strong.
