Along with full-frame mirrorless cameras, Panasonic showed three new lenses. To start with, we will get glass 50 mm F1.4, 70-200 mm F4 and 24-105 mm F4. What characterizes each of the mentioned glasses?
With the release of Panasonic Lumix S1 and Lumix S1R, the manufacturer also announced three new lenses that will start a series of glasses addressed for the new Lumix S system. At the beginning we get relatively little, but in the following months and years the manufacturer will launch more and more new models. By 2020, the manufacturer will show at least 10 lenses. For now, however, we get a standard "fifty" with light f / 1.4, universal zoom 24-105 mm f / 4 and telephoto 70-200 also with light f / 4.
Lumix S lenses – sharp and durable
All three S lenses are robust, dust / splash resistant and designed to be used in harsh environments, even at 10 degrees cold – just like the S1 and S1R cameras. The lens focus element is set in motion with advanced motors that support the high S system frequency of up to 480 fps. For maximum control precision, the lenses are equipped with a focus clutch mechanism that allows you to instantly switch between autofocus and manual adjustment at any time.
Panasonic LUMIX S PRO 50 mm F1.4
The flagship representative of the LUMIX S series of lenses is the new LUMIX S PRO 50 mm F1.4. The LUMIX S PRO 50mm F1.4 lens with a large aperture, with the focal length recognized as the standard for full-frame format, is characterized by exceptionally high resolution and sharpness from the center to the corners, even when fully open. The optical construction and use of the 11-leaf aperture ensures beautiful, smooth transitions and an extremely attractive blur effect. 13 elements in 11 groups and 2 aspherical lenses and 3 lenses of exceptionally low dispersion eliminate the effect of chromatic aberration and allow excellent resolution from the center to the corners.
Panasonic LUMIX S PRO 70-200 mm F4 OIS
The LUMIX S PRO zoom telephoto Lens 70-200 mm F4 OIS provides high resolution images with high contrast throughout the entire zoom range. Designed for use in a variety of situations – from portraits to sports photography – this lens is compatible with the Panasonic Dual IS 2 5-axis dual image stabilization system and offers 6 EV image stabilization – as the first full-frame mirrorless camera system. 9 aperture blades create a round hole , providing an attractive blur effect. In a structure composed of 23 elements in 17 groups, one aspherical lens and 3 extremely low dispersion lenses were used, which minimize chromatic aberration while ensuring maximum sharpness. This allows you to achieve an attractive blur effect and reduce vignetting.
Panasonic LUMIX S 24-105 mm F4 MACRO OIS
LUMIX S 24-105 mm F4 MACRO OIS is a versatile lens with standard zoom and wide-angle to medium focal length lenses. It provides excellent sharpness throughout the entire focal range and works well in many applications, from landscape photos to portraits. It is also ideal when it comes to zooms and macros, offering a magnification of 0.5 x and the closest focusing distance of just 0.3 m. Combining optical image stabilization (OIS) with the image stabilization system in the LUMIX S1 and S1R camera body enables the 5-axis dual function 2nd generation image stabilization offering up to 6 EV compensation. The lens is composed of 16 elements in 13 groups and uses two aspherical lenses and two elements with extremely low dispersion, which prevents chromatic aberration and allows high resolution.
