- 4K movie mode, Full HD slow-motion
High performance and long zoom
Both cameras have a ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T lens with a focal length of 24-720 mm , giving a really wide range of viewing angles. The lens is equipped with optical SteadyShot stabilization, providing stable frames even at the longest focal length. The equipment of both models also includes the Zoom Assist function. When shooting at the largest focal lengths, it allows you to temporarily reduce the zoom and look at the subject in a wider sense. The heart of both models is the powerful BIONZ X processor that ensures fast work. Autofocus sets the focus in 0.09 seconds, it also has the Eye AF function, which guarantees that the most important thing, such as the face, will always be properly sharpened. In serial mode, each camera guarantees recording 10 pictures in a second.
Electronic viewfinder and convenient operation
Guided by the suggestions of the HX90 series users, Sony introduced the touch focus / shutter function in the HX99 model, allowing direct indication of the main theme and taking photos. The touch panel function, in turn, allows you to easily move the focus areas during image preview in the retractable OLED Tru-Finder ™.For those who want more control over the settings, the HX99 lets you use the adjusting ring and assign features such as manual focus or preset zoom settings to it. Both models are also equipped with the My Menu function, allowing you to create your own quick access menu to 30 frequently used settings and functions. The screen, in turn, can be tilted 180 degrees.
4K movie mode
Both cameras record videos using all pixel matrices, guaranteeing a good image. The movie modes include 4K at 25 fps, as well as Full HD offering 100 fps, which will give us the slow-motion effect. The maximum ISO sensitivity is 6,400.It is also important that we can record in an efficient, modern XAVC S format. All this makes film models look really good. The entire specification also suggests that both compacts were designed just as film cameras . They will be used in the hands of vloggers.
Price and availability
The manufacturer does not give the price or the planned date of launching the models on the market. We can certainly assume that the price will exceed PLN 2,000. Because now the HX90 model will get in stores for around 1500 zlotys.
