Sony has presented interesting and bright lenses with variable focus lenses designed for full-frame A7 and A9 lenses.
What's new in Sony's range are the wide-angle wide-angle lens with large aperture FE 16-35 mm F2.8 GM and the wide-angle FE lens 12-24 mm F4 G. The model 16-35 mm focal length range from 16 to 35 mm – very useful The 12-24 mm model, in turn, is exceptionally wide viewing angle – the largest among all Sony E-mount lenses for full-frame image matrices.
Sony FE 16-35 mm F2,8 GM
The FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM wide-angle zoom lens completes the lineup of previously introduced high-fidelity Sony lenses: FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM and FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS. It is equipped with a number of the most advanced technical solutions developed by Sony. The first in the G Master series, the wide-angle lens is ideal for applications such as landscape and architectural photography, short-range portraits, sports photography and fast action. Its convenience and usability are also due to its extremely light and compact design.The 11-bladed lens used in the lens is almost the perfect circle in the entire range of settings, and its connection to the already mentioned XA lens enables sharp imaging of the main theme and beautiful soft background blur. The list of equipment also includes two Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor DDSSMs, which contribute to the fast-paced focusing mechanism and provide fast and quiet operation. This design is great for both shooting and filming. The SEL1635GM lens is also resistant to dust and moisture. The fluoride-coated front lens prevents the accumulation of dust and grease and facilitates their removal. The lens also has a personalized focus lock button and a shutter release button.
Sony FE 12-24mm F4 G
The lens distinction is the highest viewing angle among all Sony E-mount lenses designed for full-frame image matrices. Users of this new glass will thus gain a new dynamic perspective when photographing and filming landscapes, architecture and interiors. Four aspherical lenses are used in the optical design to provide excellent sharpness and resolution to the corners of the frame.Three ED glass lenses and one Super ED glass limit chromatic aberrations and complete the company's anti-reflective coating, Sony Nano AR. The lens is equipped with a Direct Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor (DDSSM) for fast, quiet and precise operation of the autofocus system. You also have the option of a personalized focus lock button and a focus mode switch. The lens design ensures dust and moisture resistance.
Prices and availability
The 16-35mm F2.8 GM lens will be available in Europe in August 2017, while the 12-24mm F4 G in July 2017. For now , we do not know how much we will pay for each of the lenses.
