Two full-frame lenses for Sony FE will become a hit. One is bright and reasonably priced, the second offers a "best in the world bokeh". At a conference in London we met the latest Sony glass. You can fall in love in them.
Sony unveiled two new lenses designed for full-frame system FE. Both glass is very interesting portretówki, characterized by a wide aperture and a very high resolution, so that we can use them to capture cameras matrix even 42 megapixels, the Sony A7RII. In addition to this, each of the lenses is also suitable for shooting in 4K, and as provided by the manufacturer, also in the 6K or 8K – if such a resolution to occur in the future, because according to Sony 'new glasses give the quality of tomorrow today. " Although it does not sound pretentious, at least for Sony FE 100mm F2.8 it is not far from the truth.
The unique bokeh effect
Sony FE 100mm F2.8 STF GM OSS is equipped with a filter apodyzacyjny, which will provide a unique bokeh effect, which many times emphasized during the conference. There was no hesitation to use even determine the best bokeh world. Blur, which is formed in the lens is much more plastic than other models – it is soft and more like a blur with videos than photos. Indeed, it is difficult to compare it with anything else. Exceptional smooth background in some cases it may not be an advantage, because they do not bring out the structure of the background, but it all depends on the situation obvious – bokeh for background with glowing lights looks almost fairy tale. During operation of the lens attention the detail – the focus is good for each aperture and image detail is impressive. Model nicely draws contours, and the AF system, thanks to technology, SSM (Super Sonic Motor) ensures instant sharpening – indeed, during the shooting focus set was really fast and – in most cases – accurately. 13 elements arranged in 10 groups ensures high quality optics and prevents flares and sprites. And do not forget the optical stabilization SteadyShot – this ensures that the images will blur, especially, the lens works with the stabilization of the matrix camera. Although in theory the glass is characterized by aperture f / 2.8, in practice we get T5.6. Glass apodydyzacyjne works in a Sena similar to the ND filter. At the same time, aperture T F instead of better reflects the actual state of the exposure – most of the lenses designed for film cameras is equipped with just the aperture T. The construction of the lens there were also glass aspherical and ED. The minimum focusing distance is 57 centimeters, which is not bad for such a long lens. In turn 11 aperture blades strongly affects the background blur. It is worth mentioning that on the tube can select a range of sharpening – from 0,57m to 1m or from 85m to infinity.
Cheaper 85 mm also perfectly blades
The second lens presented a budget proposal, which Sony FE 85mm F1. Budgets, because the lens will cost less than 2 thousand. zł, as the glass Sony is quite a reasonable rate. What we get in return? Great portrait lens with a bright light, which really guarantees high quality. On the optical design consists of eight items that are in the 9 groups. Among the glasses do not run out of ED, which is responsible for the reduction of chromatic aberration. In turn, the aperture of the lens is equipped with 9 leaflets. Although the bokeh is not as fabulous as in the case of 100-millimeter lens, it still looks very interesting. Attention also focuses glass. When the hole f / 1.8 we get a really sharp staff. Detail pictures taken lens makes can reach for him not only to amateurs. And let's not forget that it is after all a product, which was valued at less than 2 thousand. zł, which makes it one of the cheaper glasses, we can get the Sony offer.
Price and Availability
The big advantage of cheaper model is value for money. This amount is difficult to find another interesting model dedicated to the Sony full-frame system. Behind glass 85mm will cost 650 euros. In turn, the 100-millimeter "master bokeh" was priced at 1,850 euros. Both lenses will go for sale in March.
